Project HappyChild aims to link *all* children ... wherever they live in the world. Most of you will have seen the areas for countries worldwide and USA state counties ..... but lots of kids and teenagers live on islands in out-of-the-way places.
Some islands (or island groups) are big enough to be "countries" ... but some are very much smaller. However the Internet stretches to most places these days :) and we have built an index to include over 2000 islands across the world, to make it possible for schools *everywhere* to make contact with one another.
Below is a grid for "islands beginning with the letter ..." and each letter leads to an alphabetical listing. Each island listing shows the country it's linked with - click on the country to reach links to its government, education department, schools, universities and projects helping children, wherever these have been located.
The main index page at Schools Interchange has an alphabetical world map coded by *colour* (so you can see what's near what) and there are pages for Pacific Islands, Caribbean Islands and UK Islands, as well as listings for South Atlantic islands on the Americas page, and further island school links here and there on other pages in Schools Interchange..
Why not ask your school to make contact with a school on the opposite side of the world, or on an island somewhere? We've also put links on every page of this index, to "islands on the air" so that those of you with school radio clubs will find it easier to make contact with schools in almost every area worldwide.
