23rd February 2008: We're delighted to say that all the worksheets for this area are now on line. A few sound sub-groups (not much-used in the English language) have only a few words, and some zzzz entries - you can create your own worksheets for these, if you can find more words to include, by using the "blank template" worksheets linked below.
The words selected for the 'ready-made worksheets' are usually those which best illustrate the spelling variables which can occur for any given sound. The blank template worksheets can be used to create further sets of worksheets for specific sounds, according to individual needs. Links to all the provided 2000+ worksheets on line here are available from the Sounds Database itself.
All 489 sound files for standard English pronunciation (eg for children learning English as a second language) should now be available from the individual sub-group index pages (all accessible via the Sounds Database) - please do let us know if you aren't able to access any specific sound file - e-mail via the page here - with the relevant sub-group index page address. Thanks :)
Colour codes and pronunciation guides for "standard English" for the different sound groups / sub-groups can be found here.
