AREA 8: SYNDROMES LINKS

where to find help for kids
your help in publicising this project is much appreciated

This area of the Project HappyChild website is designed to make it easier to find help for various conditions which children may experience, or to give information about areas in which help is available in one way or another.

If the organization is within the Project HappyChild Directory, the link will take you to the page where it is listed (there is a full Index to the Directory for easy reference across all organizations and a copy of the Directory can be printed from screen - see Directory cover page).

If by any chance you can't locate the resource you're looking for, take a look at the Contact a Family on-line directory of specific conditions and rare disorders (see under Rare Syndromes below), or the other global resources listed for rare conditions, or try Google or DuckDuckGo and key in any relevant words (eg respite care children disabilities saskatchewan) which should bring up a list of links specifically relevant to your search.

Please also see websites linked from individual Directory entries for booklists and other specific resources available. * * * Links on this index were updated on 20th November 2022.

"Over the past 9 years the Foundation has developed a unique information unit. The archives, originally sourced as research materials, or in response to external enquiries, now serve as a comprehensive collection of information about all aspects of brain injury and related matters."
Cerebra - Foundation for the brain injured child "Our resources are freely available to parents and families of brain injured children, professionals working in the field, or in fact anyone with an interest in the subject. Our library holds approximately 3000 titles, about half of which are available for postal lending. We also subscribe to a number of Journals and hold back-issues to many of the important titles focusing on paediatric neurology, and we can supply photocopied extracts from the reference section for personal study."
