| Versions: LEAF GREEN and FIRE RED Starter Pokémon This will help you get all the starters. First pick CHARMANDER as your starter, then advance in the game until you can trade, TRADE this Pokémon to your friend to save for you, then start your game again. Then pick SQUIRTLE as your starter, then advance in the game until you can trade, then TRADE this Pokémon to your friend to save for you. Then start your game again. Then pick BULBASAUR as your starter and advance in the game until you can trade. Catch two wild Pokémon (any, it doesn't really matter which). TRADE them with your friend for your CHARMANDER and SQUIRTLE that you asked them to save earlier. Save the game. Hey presto! You have all the starters. I hope this helps. Ps love your website!!!! | ||||||

| In the Leaf Green game, one of the guys in the Sevii Islands is a "mushroom maniac" and wants mushrooms to teach Pokémon. Where do you find mushrooms??? Also, I see the HM "dive" listed in your site, but have not run across this HM in the leaf green game. Any help? | ||||||
| Not sure about the "mushroom maniac" factor, but we understand there is a "Move Tutor" on the second island who requires mushrooms that you can get from PARAS and PARASECT. Note: Feedback appreciated. Please mention # 3242 if you reply :) | ||||||

| How do you get (on Pokémon Ruby) (Gameboy advance) AZURILL? I have made 2 AZUMARILLS breed but this just made a MARILL and I made 2 MARILLs breed but I just got another MARILL so how do I get AZURILL? Malluc | ||||||
| Note: We have also had a similar question from Rebecca T. in the UK, about how to get AZURILL for Ruby or Sapphire. However we've since learned that it may be possible to get AZURILL by breeding a male MARILL or AZUMARILL Pokémon with a female MARILL who is holding Sea Incense. Feedback appreciated. Please mention # 3243 if you reply :) | ||||||

| Gold and FireRed/LeafGreen - Answer to # 3173: You cannot connect any gameboy color Pokémon games (Red/Blue/Yellow/Silver/Gold) to any gameboy advance Pokémon games (Sapphire / Ruby / LeafGreen / FireRed / Emerald). Although gameboy color Pokémon games can connect to any other gameboy color Pokémon games, and any gameboy advance Pokémon games can LINK to any other gameboy advance Pokémon games. Sorry! | ||||||

| In ruby version, how do you get CLAMPERL to evolve into either of its forms like HUNTAIL? | ||||||
| There appear to be some differing views on this one. Everyone seems to agree that deepseascale is needed to evolve CLAMPERL into GOREBYSS, and deepseatooth for evolution into HUNTAIL, but apparently you can *either* find these items on the islands, *or* get them from Mr. Stern in SLATEPORT CITY in exchange for the scanner from the abandoned ship. Once you've got the items, CLAMPERL can be evolved (into GOREBYSS or HUNTAIL) by trading holding the item, *or* CLAMPERL can be transferred with the item to Nurse Joy and collected later from the Pokémon Centre (and evolves after you collect it). One of the more complicated processes we've had e-mail about :) Note: Feedback appreciated. Please mention # 3245 if you reply :) | ||||||

| Daycare Trick: Well, everybody knows that every step you take while your Pokémon are in the daycare counts as 1 exp point. So after you get the acro bike and the gogoggles on sapphire or ruby go to the desert. At the top is a mudslide, go to the mudslide on your bike and make sure you find something to hod the Up button and just go to sleep or go school and by the time you're ready to take your Pokémon they have grown a bunch! Hint: don't try this with the mach bike. | ||||||

| Please tell me how to get my TYROGUE on my gold version to evolve into a HITMONLEE, because it always evolves into a HITMONCHAN. Thx. | ||||||
| As far as we can ascertain, TYROGUE evolves depending on its stats. If attack is higher than defence at level 20, it evolves into HITMONLEE. If defence is higher than attack, it evolves into HITMONCHAN. If its attack and defence are equal, then HITMONTOP results [see however # 3248 (next one down)]. Note: Feedback appreciated. Please mention # 3247 if you reply :) | ||||||
