| Re Cheat # 3088, there is a version of MISSINGNO in Gold and Silver, but it can only be found with a GameShark (so I doubt you're interested). It is a square at proper resolution with words in, is always male, and is in poison whenever encountered. It also has ridiculous HP figures and the battle acts like a LINK Battle (ie you can't catch it, and the game says "Waiting..." whenever you try to attack it). I'm only sending this in because I think Nintendo fixed MISSINGNO in Gold / Silver / Crystal and Ruby / Sapphire. Matteo. | ||||||

| I have a question - where do you get a LUGIA in Silver version? | ||||||
| LUGIA is in the Whirl Islands (see Gold & Silver WALKTHROUGH]. You will need HM06 (the Walkthrough tells you where to find this) and the Glacier Badge (from the Mahogany Town Gym), also you need Silver Wing (see WALKTHROUGH again) for LUGIA to appear. Take a Pokémon that knows FLASH (from the head Sage at Sprout Tower, see WALKTHROUGH again) with you and lots of POKÉ BALLS. Note: Other Feedback appreciated. | This is in response to Cheat # 3010 on the site. It was posted that you guys there didn't own/play RUBY/SAPPHIRE. The cheat was that to get a SHEDINJA in RUBY/SAPPHIRE you had to raise a NINCADA to level 20 while having an empty slot in your party and at least 1 Pokéball with you. This is true, as I've done it before. SHEDINJA is a strong Pokemon that only has 1HP, but also cannot be damaged by attacks unless they're super effective (which is often, but not so often that SHEDINJA becomes a bad Pokémon to have). | ||||||

| I can't seem to find the legendary Pokémon other than SUICUNE. My friend's dad told my friend (but not me) the ways to catch the Pokémon I require. Can you please tell me how to catch the legendary Pokémon other than SUICUNE. P.S: Thanks. | ||||||
|
Well, the other Legendary Pokémon you're referring to are presumably RAIKOU and ENTEI, and if you've already found SUICUNE you've probably used Rock Smash (TM08) at the Burned Tower and the three Legendary Pokémon have already come to life and run away. You can locate the other two in any patch of grass in the Johto region (they move about a lot) and it may be easiest to walk in one single grassy area till one of them crosses your path. You'll need a good supply of MAX REPEL (up to 100) with you, to keep away other wild Pokémon once you have found one of the Legendary Pokémon to fight. If it runs away, it can be tracked on your Pokédex. When you find it, if you get the first attack, put the Legendary Pokémon to sleep before reducing its HP so you can capture it. Note: Feedback appreciated. Please mention # 3135 if you reply. | ||||||

| Re: CELEBI, jump tip, RUBY & SAPPHIRE, Bill's garden. CELEBI lives in Bill's garden along with the starter Pokémon from red and yellow. You need the m jump. NEVER evolve a GULPIN unless you are doing it for the move BODY SLAM (at 85 acc100 pp15 30% of paralyze) must have: WAILORD, RELICANTH, DIG, SURF, DIVE. To get to PACIFIDLOG TOWN go south from route 129, south of MOSS DEEP, then go west to PACIFIDLOG TOWN. MIRAGE ISLAND might appear if you battled using rain dance somewhere close. Go more west and there will be tides. Go south west into the tide and stay as far down as possible. When you get to a high water go 3-4 steps up then SURF west. You should be able to DIVE. Go south underwater until you reach some dots. Use DIVE! then you will reach a cave. Go toward the northern wall. You will find a part particular. Dig there. Then you read the BRAILLE message. Put RELICANTH in your first spot. And WAILORD in back. Then BOOM!! you have it ! you can now get the legendary rocks. More later. | ||||||

| NEW MISSINGNO CHEAT - YELLOW VERSION I don't have Red or Blue, but I'd presume this trick is in them too. We all know everybody believed Missingno was taken out of Yellow, but this proves them wrong! First off, you cannot have fought the Gambler in front of the Underground Path entrance by LAVENDER TOWN. Go to the Underground Path that connects the route east of CELADON CITY and the route west of LAVENDER TOWN. Go to the Underground Path opening east of CELADON CITY and walk out to the route by LAVENDER TOWN. DO NOT walk out 1 step afterwards or the Gambler will see you. Save, if you have to, and quickly go out one step and press start so your menu comes up. Fly to LAVENDER and an exclamation mark will appear over the Gamblers head, but you will fly away before he gets a chance to fight you. Your start button shouldn't work; that's okay. This is completely normal. Now walk in the POKÉMON TOWER (I wouldn't bring the SILPH SCOPE along because it could mess this up) and go to the first floor in which you can actually fight Channelers. Fight at least one Channeler, I don't know if there's a specific one, and beat her. Now walk out of the POKÉMON TOWER and back out to the route where you flew away from the Gambler. Your menu will automatically pop up so press B. This is what usually happens: the screen will flash as if you're running into a wild Pokemon and the screen will go black for about three seconds longer than usual, then a random level 7 Pokemon will appear. Here's what rarely happens: the same thing will happen, but when the delayed black screen will stay MUCH longer than usual (we're talking about 25 seconds) and the music will stop playing after about 8 seconds, these are the real signs that you are running into a Missingno. He's not quite the same mess as 'M or the original Missingno, but rather a strange square s hape I can't quite explain. It's also varied whether you'll actually fight him or not. Mostly the game will crash when he comes across the screen, and can about as commonly it will simply freeze while a very eerie sound similar to the cry of ELECTABUZZ will be heard in the background. One time the dialogue box said nothing but "Missingno is trying to learn..Missingno is trying to learn.." forever until I turned the power off. And when you are very lucky the game will catch off guard and let you fight him. Contrary to popular belief, I do not think this Missingno can screw up your game, but he can drastically cut off the level he's currently at down to a mere 1. And yes, he still duplicates items and destroys your Hall of Fame. | ||||||
| *have* to say we're *very* doubtful that this works. Please save your game before you try any of this! We thought we should include it, though, "just in case" as people have been looking for a MISSINGNO Cheat that works on Yellow, for so long now. Other versions sent in of this cheat, include the comment "wait for the Channeler to walk to you (do not walk to the Channeler)". Accurate feedback appreciated! Please quote # 3138 if you reply. | ||||||

| E-MAILS:
due to ongoing problems with mail getting through to here, we've made a * mail form * you can use to write to us. In the years since the Cheats area at Andy's Guide to Pokémon first started, there have been many mail problems - and quite a few computer crashes - and we'd like to say sorry to anyone whose messages have got lost along the way .... just remember you can *always* re-send, and hopefully now that we have a more guaranteed way for info to reach us here, we'll find a way to get most or all of the genuine info on line :) We very much appreciate the support that all of you give this site. |
