How do you get a FIRE STONE, LEAF STONE, WATER STONE and a THUNDER STONE on silver?
You should be able to get Mystery Gift on Gameboy Color after you speak to the girl on the 5th floor of the GOLDENROD CITY Department Store (gets added when you next start up). After that you can get Mystery Gifts on the 2nd floor of Pokémon Centers.

Hi Andy. I have blue version and always do the MISSINGNO cheat - it has never failed me. When I start my game I use the name BLUE and start with BULBASAUR. The team I use are: FLAREON lv55, KABUTOPS lv55, VENUSAUR lv60, ARTICUNO lv55, RAICHU lv55, DUGTRIO lv55. Doing the MISSINGNO cheat I can get STARMIE, SNORLAX, GOLDUCK, DRAGONAIR (rare) and Pokémon from the place I last visited. I did this to find TAUROS and got him using MASTER BALL. Hope this helps.

At the beginning of the game I need to know what time of day do you catch TEDDIURSA on the gold? On the silver PHANPY takes the place of TEDDIURSA and can be found in the morning but i've been fighting on route 46, or 45 for over 2 to 3 hours straight till 10:00 a.m. and not yet have I seen a TEDDIURSA. Do you have any Pokémon Crystal cheats?
As you'll know, when we started this website there were only Red and Blue Pokémon games available. Since then we've added Yellow, and a huge area for Gold and Silver, and quite a lot of information has come in for the new RUBY & SAPPHIRE area. All visitors are welcome to send in info on *any* of the Pokémon games, incuding Crystal and the new Fire Red Pokémon and Leaf Green Pokémon. Please just make sure that whatever you send in *works*! (ie you've already tested it out) otherwise everyone's time gets wasted. A lot of young kids use this site as well so any genuine info you send (doesn't need to be a "cheat", as such) can make a lot of difference for them also.
Recently we've had Cheat 3143 for CRYSTAL (reply about Rainbow Wing); other Crystal info welcomed :)

Hey Andy, I was wondering, as some of the Pokémon are unable to evolve, how can you get all the Pokémon? If there is a way, please state whether it involves another player.
You didn't say which version of the game you're asking about? Assuming it's gold or silver, there are certain Pokémon that you have to TRADE from red, blue or yellow (either with another player or from another Gameboy that you have, with one of the earlier games on it). These include CHARMANDER, CHARMELEON and CHARIZARD; SQUIRTLE, WARTORTLE and BLASTOISE; BULBASAUR, IVYSAUR and VENUSAUR; as well as Pokémon like KABUTO and KABUTOPS, OMANYTE and OMASTAR, and ZAPDOS, ARTICUNO and MOLTRES.

Hi just to let you know this cheat does work ... my name is Gordon B, age 37 (son plays the game) Pokémon Yellow version. There is a way to get MEW without the gameshark or equivalent - This is to confirm that cheat # 3047 works. You get a level 7 MEW.

The info for the Pokémon is this: Mew - Level 7 - HP 31 - Attack 20 - Defense 20 - Speed 19 - Special 19.

I swear that this works. Please, believe me. I suggest that everyone try this one, if you don't mind starting your game over to do so. I risked it, and it worked.

This might be a long e-mail so try to stick with me. I have often been frustrated by MEW cheats that don't work. So far the only ways to get MEW seem to be from the Nintendo tours, using a Gameshark, or Cheat # 3047. So here are the cheats that I know do NOT work:
(1) The one with the POKÉ BALL under the truck by the S.S. Anne [# 2028] (that truck also does NOT sell MASTER BALLS).
(2) the one with the MAGIKARP that you can buy at the Pokemon Center by MT. MOON ... all the daycare stuff (several versions) .... like in Cheat # 2004.
(3) The next one is that you TRADE for a Pokemon with Cut and you eventually fly to CINNABAR and SURF up and down the right coast. You should, but you don't, run into MEW.
(4) Then there's one with the MIST STONE which we know doesn't exist. You supposedly find it by the water where you found MEWTWO, and it supposedly evolves MEWTWO into MEW. Complete trash.
(5) Then there's Cheat # 2052 where you see all 150 Pokemon and then go to the place where you found EEVEE. I heard this only works in the Japanese version of the game. The guy on the third floor only gives you your diploma. I hope this clears up some of the rubbish cheats.
Well, Tori seems to think Cheat # 3047 works, even if all the other MEW cheats don't. And there are still more people saying # 3047 works .... [see the next cheat].

Hi, First thing I would like to confirm that cheat 3047 works.
Also using MISSINGNO cheat I was able to find RATICATE 180lvl, my name was Pug, version red and I started with SQUIRTLE.
Also answering to question QA0016, I'm using emulator called GEST which has possibility of emulating 2 connected gameboys so you can TRADE Pokémons with it. Regards, Chris.

Re: Cheat # 3047: I have tried this cheat to get MEW, and it works. When you fly to CERULEAN CITY, as you're taking off from Route 8, a ! should appear above Gambler's head. This means he's seen you. If that happens, you know you've done it right so far. It's not hard at all to press START before he sees you. I believe this also works in Yellow, but I'm not positive.
Other confirmations of Cheat # 3047 from Thi (Australia) r/b/y, RJ Wong (Singapore), Ivo de G (Holland] (yellow), Anne Marie S. (USA) (red), and from Daniel J (USA) who says it works on blue, red and yellow and gives the following Yellow Pokédex data for MEW:
"when viewed through a microscope, this pokemon's short, fine, delicate hair can be seen."

You probably get this a lot, but I'm just saying that it has been confirmed many times by many people and by many websites that the only way to possibly get MEW is through a special promotion from Nintendo (like a tour, contest, or machine like the one in "Pokemon Center New York"). This is the same with CELEBI in Gold/Silver/Crystal and JIRACHI in Ruby/Sapphire. To confirm that you really have a MEW, usually the MEW is assigned a special ID# that is printed on a certificate that is given along with the MEW to the winner of contests and such.
Those were the lines we were thinking along! *but* we've had lots and lots of people (more than those mentioned above - sorry to anyone we couldn't mention) write in saying Cheat # 3047 WORKS. And not one single person has written in to say they've actually tried it, and it doesn't. Pretty strange .....

Thanks for writing, Kevin :) However for now the priority really has to be identifying any MEW cheat that actually *works*, irrespective of the game version required. Sorry :)
