Another way to get away from the over level 100 Pokémon is to use an ongoing attack such as WRAP or FIRE SPIN then run.
Note: A level 100 CHANSEY is very powerful, it has over 500 HP.

Cheat/Tip/Shortcut: When you get an EEVEE in CELADON CITY you can evolve it. It's best to evolve it into VAPOREON because when I used a THUNDER STONE, JOLTEON was a bit weak and so was FLAREON. When you evolve it into VAPOREON its health will be on 105 (something like that) - at level 25 it's a lot stronger than BLASTOISE, LAPRAS and ARTICUNO. It's the king of WATER and ICE Pokémon!

Cheat/Tip/Shortcut: On the red version you can make SAFARI ZONE Pokémon appear on the SEA FOAM ISLANDS.
(1) Walk around the section in the SAFARI ZONE that you find the Pokémon you want to appear on SEA FOAM ISLANDS until you run out of time.
(2) SURF down to the SEA FOAM ISLANDS and SURF up and down the right side of the first island you encounter (do not enter any "trainer" battles or the trick will not work!). Wild Pokémon battles are okay though.
(3) You should encounter Pokémon from the SAFARI ZONE while SURFing up and down.
[I've done this trick before and I caught KANGASKAHN, SCYTHER and TAUROS - you do not need a Game Shark for this, either!]

I also have a suggestion - when you leave for VERMILION CITY in yellow version, leave your CHARMANDER or BULBASAUR in the daycare and get on the S.S. ANNE. Once you've finished with business there and you're off, go catch a DIGLETT at Diglett's cave, then get a BIKE VOUCHER. Go back to CERULEAN CITY and get your BIKE and go to the daycare. Your CHARMANDER or BULBASAUR should be at a level of around 16-28, depending on what level it was when you put it in.

Cheat/Tip/Shortcut: First beat Super Nerd (DOME is KABUTO, HELIX is OMANYTE), get the selected fossil and do the MISSINGNO code (go talk to the guy in VIRIDIAN CITY, say you're not in a hurry, he will show you how to catch Pokémon). FLY to CINNABAR ISLAND, SURF on the right side of the island, but have the fossils or OLD AMBER in the sixth spot on your item storage. It won't have a mark but they are unlimited, kinda - then bring them back to life.

Cheat/Tip/Shortcut: While I was doing MISSINGNO I came across a GOLBAT, level 138, ELECTRODE, level 139, CLEFABLE, level 142. I hope this helps you. My version is Pokémon blue, the name I used was elnicko (7 letters) and my starting Pokémon was SQUIRTLE.

Cheat/Tip/Shortcut: I've just read Cheat # 2017 about BUTTERFREE and I just want to say that I caught a CATERPIE on Pokémon yellow and when it reached level 10 it became BUTTERFREE - and I kicked BROCK's butt without BUTTERFREE losing any HPs, so that cheat works.
