Project HappyChild is non-profit and this site is here to offer free educational resources, link up children and schools across the world, and also highlight the needs of less fortunate kids.
So far there are over 14,000 pages on line, out of a projected final total of around 20,000 pages in all. There's a "navigation table" on all main site pages (eg see the Welcome Page) which links to all main site areas. Newsletters tend to be somewhat intermittent (latest brief update on line 10th April 2007), but the Latest Site News page is updated with news of interim pagebuilding, whenever time allows.
Major resources still under construction include: "Any Language to English" - 400+ Polish-English vocabulary worksheets on line 070707 [see also the Translators' page for languages currently in preparation]; French grammar [scheduled for completion some time next year]; and Keywords for Learning. Longer-term projects include Sol's Guide to Harry Potter and the ongoing completion of Andy's Guide to Pokémon, which has recently been massively expanded (eg see the Red/Blue/Yellow pokédex) to integrate help sent in by site visitors over the last seven years. The 2000+ free worksheets to complete "Spellings, Sounds and Meanings" have now been uploaded to the site, and our sincere thanks to Mario Becroft in New Zealand, for all his help in generating these.
All the educational resources we build on the site here are free, so that they're available to children anywhere. If you'd like to "give something back" (and if you're in a financial position to do so) we'd very much appreciate your support for the many charities who help children, shown in the Project HappyChild Directory and international "projects helping kids" areas, or for any of the individual appeals in the website Guestbook.
Support would also be welcomed for Events raising funds for disadvantaged kids, and for crisis appeals anywhere in the world. Your financial support for these charities makes it possible for more children to be helped - it's as simple as that :)

If you live in the UK and would like to help towards our Internet costs (at no cost to yourself) you can simply change your internet access via the Force 9 or PlusNet banners below. PlusNet (which owns Force 9, to which you can no longer sign up separately) gives a small discount (every month) on our ongoing costs, in respect of most types of accounts that our visitors sign up for via the links on this page - broadband, dial-up, business, residential, etc. - long term, referrals could safeguard this website virtually forever. We don't ask our visitors for any financial support (things run on something of a shoestring here!) but discounts on our Internet costs do make a bit of difference to our overheads.
Best regards,
Penny.
