This will have to be the briefest of Newsletters - really just to touch base with everyone and give some sort of overview on what's been happening here recently.
Firstly, the dual-language worksheets area is progressing well - the French-English worksheets are receiving huge levels of visits; 400+ English-Russian vocabulary worksheets have just gone on line; Romanian verb worksheets are almost ready to go up; Spanish vocabulary content is completed and currently being checked; Spanish verbs in progress; Italian verbs being translated (someone to check Italian vocabulary is still needed, please!); Romanian vocabulary is being translated; Polish vocabulary is fairly near completion; and a number of other languages are in progress, including Swedish, Portuguese, Finnish and Bulgarian. Further offers of help from language professionals would be much appreciated :)
EVENTS CALENDAR: An awesome range of events for 2007 and beyond now appears on this year's Events Calendar - many benefitting Charities in the Project HappyChild Directory but others much further afield. Every type of event imaginable, from marathons worldwide and shark dives to "The Italian Job 2007" - events listings on line here.
ACCELERATED LEARNING: Michael Tipper's latest additions are now on line, two articles covering "The Top Ten Study Tips Of All Time" - useful insights, with the exam season approaching for many - see the Feature Articles index for links.
Spellings, Sounds + Meanings: We're delighted to say the "Sounds Database" is now completed, and that nearly 500 sound files are on line for the different sound sub-groups as a pronunciation guide for children learning English as a second language. We're still waiting for the related 2500-ish worksheets to be generated from New Zealand, but in the meantime there are template worksheets on line to allow this resource to be fully used in the interim.
