CREATIVITY |
| Several sections are now open in this area: | ||||||
| Stories | Poems | Jokes | Artwork | Articles | ||
| Schools are welcome to nominate a page on their website for a link - we're looking for items like paintings, stories, poems
and jokes which you'd like to share with other children across the
world. Only proviso is that the page address has to be stable! given that we have many thousands of links from here, we need to have "permanent" URLs that will remain the same over a long period of time.
Children and students can e-mail any good jokes individually - just quote your name and your country, when you write.
|
Our first entry in the "stories" section is a UFO story called Glaxibel The Avenger - from James, who does all the technical support for Project HappyChild - an unusual story which older children / students may enjoy reading. You'll also find "The Daffodil Principle", and "A Sandpiper to bring you Joy", along with a new area for "Aesop's Fables" where 220 fables are now on line. We've started the "poems" section with one called "Unity", about the interweaving of home and school, and recently added a number of "classics" - ranging from "If", by Rudyard Kipling, to Wordsworth's "Daffodils" and Thomas Gray's poem about his cat and the tub of goldfishes. There are now five items in the "articles" section, ranging from "The Cause of Cot Death ... and how to prevent it" (from New Zealand) to "In Praise of Black Sheep" (from America), and "Cannabis .... the Gateway", written here in England. We'll build "index" pages for each section as soon as we have more than one page for any area - the first Jokes page is now on line. New and slightly-more-involved jokes have been added recently, and we'd welcome further input from visitors - clean jokes only, please!
| More items have been added to the "artwork" section, which now contains the following:- The Barking & Dagenham Aboriginal Art Project" [school artwork arranged in galleries]; and two projects from an inner-city school in the Bronx, USA, the John F. Kennedy High School ["Why is the Mona Lisa smiling?" and "ArtiFaq2100"]. See the artwork index page for more details. | ||||||
