| In Haiti, children as young as six are taken from their villages to labour as
domestic servants in the cities. From 3.00am to nightfall they struggle
through the day performing duties that are physically too demanding for
their age. They receive no payment, no chance of education, and are
vulnerable to abuse.
The employer can simply throw them out on the street for the smallest
mistake. |
