PUBLICITY

Publicity is the single most important thing we can always use help with, to make it possible for more children across the world to come into contact with Project HappyChild.

We'd very much appreciate you printing out our "publicity" page and posting it up on a noticeboard in a school or library, or forwarding it to friends and colleagues (file / send / link by e-mail).

We would like to thank the many sites who have included a link from their pages to Project HappyChild, which has had a major impact on our traffic flow. If you'd like to make a link to us we would really value this.

We have lots of high-quality graphics all over the site (thank you, Corel Canada!) and you can use any of them with a link to Project HappyChild at www.happychild.org.uk. We've put a few more on this page so you have plenty of choice.

[For anyone who hasn't previously copied Internet graphics, all that's required is simply to click on the graphic with your right-hand mouse button and save it as a ".gif" or ".jpg" to the file where you keep the graphics for your website, and upload the graphic to the Internet into the matching folder. You'll need later to open your home page file and use "import graphic" to get the graphic onto your page, and add a hyperlink before re-uploading your page to the Internet, along the lines of

(replace xbloggsx.com/image with your own page address and image folder).]

FUNDRAISING: Ask your school or college [or company] to fundraise for one of the organizations in the Directory, or for one of the worldwide Projects helping Children. So many kids don't have the basics most of us take for granted.

EVENTS: You can also become actively involved by supporting any of the activities on this year's amazing Events calendar - the sheer range of activities organised by charities raising funds to help kids has to be seen to be believed.

GUESTBOOK: Support for any of the Appeals that have been sent in to the Guestbook by individual visitors, would also be appreciated - and we'd like to thank a number of people who have already helped in this way.

NEWSLETTER: To stay in touch and receive a regular copy of our free Newsletter, Project HappyChild News, just fill out the subscribe form near the foot of this page. Our Newsletter is also on line, linked from top right of our Welcome Page and most navigation tables across the site. Newsletters have been somewhat intermittent over the last couple of years (due to a very heavy pagebuilding schedule) but will be issued more regularly again in the future.

FREE DUAL-LANGUAGE WORKSHEETS .....

There's a huge project ongoing here to make free dual-language worksheets available to kids and schools across the world - the French/English worksheets are already on line and languages in progress include Russian-English, Romanian-English, Polish-English, Bulgarian-English and quite a few more - we'd very much appreciate further offers for other languages from language professionals who could spare some time to help with translating and/or checking :)
