In a structure of only just over 100 parts, Bricks & Mortar covers the basic rules of the
English word structure, in small and easy-to-assimilate pieces. For each part
of the learning system, there is a round "disk" (based on a clock face) with a
page of "helper's notes" designed to be read to the person learning to read.
The notes can be dictated onto a C90 cassette tape and if the child listens
to it for a short while each day, whilst looking at the pictures, it helps to
reinforce the basic rules of reading and spelling without any particular
effort on the child's part.
