There are a lot of "items" in the Harry Potter books! So, after some degree of thought, we've subdivided them alphabetically - links in the table below. Each "items" page is linked to the other alphabetical items pages .... but each individual item is also linked to the relevant chapter pages it appears in.
This site has been structured in a way that enables "tracking items" across the books you've read (so if you wanted to find out, for example, where else apart from book 1 you'd read something about, say, "green ink", pre-set linkages have been designed to allow tracking across all seven books to wherever "green ink" [or "ink, green"] appears elsewhere ..... )
Not much has been added so far in the way of "explanations" as to what the different items are, or are for (except in rare cases) because the aim is to allow you to link direct to where the item appears on the individual chapter pages, where the keywords shown will help you recall what context that item appeared in, at that point in the story .....
It has taken us a *long* time - seven years from when we first started building this - to fathom out exactly how to achieve this in html, let alone without disclosing any of the plot lines! but the keywords added so far should demonstrate how comprehensively this whole resource has been designed to link together.
