do you have an original graphic we could add here, relating to 'petri dish'? please see the main Gridbuilding page for details of how to get in touch

A petri dish is a shallow, round, stackable, lidded dish, usually of about 10cm in diameter, used to contain the culture medium for bacterial or other cell cultures.

Petri dishes are traditionally made of glass, so they can be hot-washed to clean them thoroughly, although, now, heat-resistant plastic may also be used.
