| PLAYLINK ..... The Co-Op Centre, 11 Mowll Street, London SW9 6BG. | |||||||||||||||||||
Many children have nowhere safe and interesting to play outside. For some children, there isn't even space at home to make a noise, make a mess or have friends over. The most deprived children don't have a home of their own and they have even less chance to play freely. PLAYLINK helps people who want to set up and run adventure playgrounds so children can have a local place to call their own, to dig and climb, play games, build dens and meet friends. We also help schools to improve their playgrounds.

| THE PRE-SCHOOL LEARNING ALLIANCE ..... 69 Kings Cross Road, London WC1X 9LL. | |||||||||||||||||||
What happens to children during their early years is very important. Through its 18,000 member pre-schools, the Pre-School Learning Alliance provides pre-school education and care for 850,000 children under five. In the safe and stimulating environment of a pre-school, children learn as they play with carefully-selected equipment and plenty of adult support. Each group is an independent part of its local community and most fundraise to keep fees as low as possible so as to avoid excluding families in financial hardship. Because we believe that each child has the right to develop to the full, our Help a Pre-school Child appeal raises money to provide subsidised places and to support the integration of children with special needs.
