DISK 102.
Remember the "double brick" S C we met in
"scuffle", where it made the sound "skuh"? When
this S C double brick is immediately followed by
the letter I or the letter E, the C becomes "soft",
with the whole S C double brick making one soft
"suh" sound, as in the words:
scent (as in "fragrance") * scene (of a play)
* science, the last of these in the "I" circle
because the first part of that word, its main
emphasis, makes that sound.
You try the words on the disk now:
(pause) Yes, they are:
scent * scene * science
