We can also make this same "vowel sound" in a
number of other ways. The letter A followed by W
sounds the same, as in:
awe * jaw * saw * fawn * sawn * squawk.
Note that the word "awe" has a "Silent E" which doesn't seemingly do anything at all. The final word, "squawk", introduces the double brick W K.
