DISK 57.

Now we come to a really strange set of sounds which are made up of various vowel combinations. These sounds are "er", "oi", "aw" and "ow!". We call these the "attention seekers" because they sit around the outside of the clock.

The first of these we will actually deal with is "aw" - and it is found when the letter A is followed by the double brick L L, making the word "all".

We get the same basic sound when we put letters on the front of "all" - so we have the following words on this disk:

all * ball * fall * hall * tall * wall.

Now you read them:

(pause) Yes, they are:

all * ball * fall * hall * tall * wall.
