SPELLING
I am often asked whether you can use memory techniques to help you remember how to spell. Well of course the answer is yes and below is an example of this in action.
Which is the correct spelling "embarass" or "embarrass"?
If you did not know or were unsure (because they both look sort of right don't they?) it is "embarrass". So how do we remember that? Well there are a couple of ways. First of all you could remember that when you are embarrassed, you go really red (RR - 2 "r"s). The second way is to note that there are 2 "r"s and 2"s"s - ie the letters are doubled. To make it really memorable, why not remember both?
