USE OF POETRY TO HELP IN REMEMBERING
Quite often poetry or rhyming phrases are used to assist in remembering facts and figures. The following example shows how to remember which months have 30 days in them.
30 days hath September, April June and November
Or how about the rhyme to remember when Guy Fawkes tried to blow up Parliament:
The 5th of November,
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
You can of course make up your own phrases to help you
remember. Why not have a go?
