THE MUSICAL STAVE
In his book "How to Develop A Perfect Memory", Dominic O'Brien says the whole range of mnemonics around to help you remember the notes on a musical stave, were probably born out of frustration as Music Teachers tried to teach music theory to unwilling pupils! The following is one of the more common examples that he found:
Spaces on the Base Clef are A, C, E, G. To learn this just remember that All Cows Eat Grass.
For the lines in the Treble Clef which are E, G, B, D, F remember that Every Good Boy Deserves Food.
