YOU

So far I have told you a little bit about some of the great minds of the past but what about today? The greatest mind in the world at this precise moment in time is YOU. You are the most important you that there is, ever has been or ever will be.

Do you realise that you have over a million million brain cells? Your eyes have over 130 million light receptors each; your ears are the world's most sophisticated vibration detectors; your nose can detect a the presence of a smell of an object in one part per trillion (1,000,000,000,000,000,000); your mouth can distinguish over a billion different tastes and throughout your body you have over 500,000 touch detectors, 200,000 temperature detectors and over 4,000,000 pain sensitive structures. You are a very sensitive, extremely sophisticated and intelligent piece of biological engineering.

Through the power of choice and the application of the 20 qualities of genius (as defined by Tony Buzan and Raymond Keene in Buzan's Book of Genius) you can achieve absolutely anything that you believe that you are capable of. Those qualities are:

Is there something that you would like to do? How much do you want to do it? Try applying the principles above - you never know, you might actually achieve it. In the words of Goethe, taking action and committing yourself to the task are the keys to success:
